Favorite band at the moment: TV on the Radio.

hey kiddies!
I was just checkin in on one of my favorite bands right now , TV On The Radio!
The interesting thing about this band is that the only white guy in the band, Dave Sitek, was a graduate of Oakland Mills High in Columbia, MD (which I was a graduate as well, he was a '90
grad whereas I was '91, his bro' Jason graduated with me) and for a time was my neighbor in Old Ellicott City, til there was a fire at his building which forced him to relocate to Baltimore with his girlfriend, their 2 cats and his best friend Spider.
Its amazing what happens in 5 years time....after putting out 2 Eps and their last album
"Return to Cookie Mountain" which is probably one of the best albums out there right now right next to Arcade Fire's "Neon Bible", has also the support of The White Duke himself David Bowie on backing vocals.
Last year in the early spring, the band toured with Bauhaus in support of Nine Inch Nails last album, which pushed their credibility ten-fold, and on the eve of their new album "Dear Science"(which is due in stores Sept), last month played on the same stage with DC's premier DJ led world beat band, Thievery Corporation at MerrieWeather Post Pavillion in Columbia, MD.
