What happened to the planned "The Thing" sequel??Here is a script review and other info..

At the website, there is a 2-part review of "Return of the Thing", a sequel that never happened which had Frank Darabount in line to direct or produce through the Sci-Fi Channel as a mini-series...There is also more info about the series of comic books base on the original film with Kurt Russel's character, "Macready" and his buddy "Childs", who had survived at the end of the film.
Personally, I think 20th Century Fox has dropped the ball on this,a potential franchise, as it has with its other franchises most notably Alien and Predator, as well as newer ones like X-men.
As I've said before, Fox has an army of talent under their fingertips with the ownership of Dark Horse Comics, and why they don't utilize them -I will never understand.
