"Superman" reboot possibly involving the Wachowski Bros.??

Well, check this out..What seemed as an idea way back before "Superman Returns" may be a reality due to the fact that "Speed Racer" & " Superman Returns" were commercial duds, "Racer being more so. "Supes's " director, Bryan Singer has of late been back and forth on the issue of a sequel, then just when Singer had decided that his involvement was a possibility, the WB got together this past summer and decided to put there house in order with a plan to put out films based on their comic-book properties (owned by DC comics by way of the WB) as 'tentpoles' for the next 5-10 years. This idea based on a plan put forth by Marvel after the success of "IRON MAN", was copied by the WB after their success with "The Dark Knight". Seeing that if they got the right director + the right script+ the right actors = 500 billion big ones, and that it could be duplicated with other properties especially in a 'darker tone'. Singer , pissed already with the fact that they had gone over his head when they were planning and pushing to make "Justice League" with George Miller a quick reality(which of course died quickly when the writer's strike happened), Singer when heard of this idea, balked and put up a fit demanding to know all the details of said meeting. Unfortunately, when you work for the WB, unless you've been known to make money for them either immediately or consistently-you just won't be in their pocket for long. Chris Nolan has consistently made them money aside from the Batman franchise, "Insomnia" and "The Prestige" did well..However, with the Wachowski's, its not all been roses..
The Matrix trilogy loved by many of the Y generation, but also dimissed by alot of film buffs as being "full of itself "considering that the second and third films were not made til after the first one was a hit-a lucky hit for the duo who had up to that point only one other film, "Bound",were given full reign for "Speed Racer", which bombed at the box office and is on 95% of all the critic's worst films of 2008 lists. Which, was interesting after taking this all in to account that I found this article/rumour on the internet..For those who don't know, the article mentions the director of the forthcoming "Ninja Assasin"(based on the anime cartoon), James McTeigue who also directed "V For Vendetta ",and is a cohort of sorts to the Wachowski's, being that they are his producer on his those two films..something like a third Marx brother of sorts..
Anyhoo, below is a snippet of said article...

oh and for you trivia hounds out there, the Wachowski's were considered before Mr.Singer got the job!!

[McTeigue confirmed that Plastic Man was the next project in the pipeline for the Wachowski's and he had been signed on to provide Second Unit support. Says the movie has been delayed indefinitely due to a major shake up of projects at WB.

- Bryan Singer has refused to undertake a re-boot of the Superman franchise and has left the Executives at WB with no choice but to take a fresh creative direction.

This is it....
- He stated the Wachowski Brothers had been approached to re-boot the franchise as a trilogy and they are currently reviewing their options as its like being asked to take the final play in a superbowl final. Says if they do agree, he will likely either succumb to providing second unit support on the movie or will champion the directorship of Plastic Man - He started to giggle as he stated its like a young child for the Brothers and they wont give that up easily.

- Says, the very thought of the brothers making a superman movie is unbelievable as they have grown up in the world of comic books and they would be ideal for the project.]
